Heffley, Attorney General to Co-Host Consumer Protection Outreach Event in Albrightsville
March 2, 2020
ALBRIGHTSVILLE – A representative from the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General’s Bureau of Consumer Protection will be available to discuss consumer-related issues at the Albrightsville district office of Rep. Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon) on Thursday, March 5, from 2:30-5:30 p.m. The office is located at 2681 State Route 903, Unit 3, in Albrightsville.
“I am pleased we are able to partner with the attorney general’s office for this consumer protection outreach event,” said Heffley. “It’s a great opportunity for residents to get expert advice on a variety of topics related to their financial well-being.”
In addition to providing information on frauds, scams, identity theft, cybercrime and other issues, the bureau’s representative will be available to assist with consumer complaints and the filing of complaint forms. No appointment is necessary.
The outreach event coincides with National Consumer Protection week, which runs from March 1-7. The publicity campaign is designed to raise awareness about consumer rights and educate the public on how to make well-informed decisions regarding money.
