Heffley Issues Statement on Resolution Controversy

HARRISBURG – Rep. Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon) today issued the following statement regarding the disagreement between the General Assembly and Gov. Tom Wolf over the legality of House Resolution 836. The measure, which would terminate the governor’s COVID-19 disaster emergency declaration, was passed by the House and Senate in a bipartisan vote on Tuesday.

Heffley Calls on Wolf to Move Carbon County from Red to Yellow

WEISSPORT – Rep. Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon) today voiced his concern and disappointment after learning Carbon County was not among the next group of counties that would move into the “yellow phase” of Gov. Tom Wolf’s reopening plan on May 15. The 13 counties listed in the governor’s announcement are all located in southwestern Pennsylvania.

Heffley Requests Additional COVID-19 Case Data from Secretary of Health

HARRISBURG – In an effort to better safeguard the health of Carbon County residents and first responders during the current COVID-19 emergency, Rep. Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon) is requesting a more detailed reporting of case numbers from the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Heffley made his official request in a letter sent Monday to Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine.
