Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon) issued the following statement regarding a recent audit conducted by the office of Pennsylvania Auditor General Eugene DePasquale of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT). DePasquale noted that transfers from the Motor License Fund to the state police have totaled more than $4.25 billion since the 2012-13 fiscal year.

Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon) today hosted a seminar on the issue in Jim Thorpe. The discussion featured presentations by state officials on programs and funding available to combat blight in Pennsylvania.

Delina Jo Rodrigues of Palmerton took first place in two powerlifting events at the 2019 Special Olympic World Games in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Matthew Anthony of Palmerton, and his father, Christopher, were winners of the Unified Bowling Doubles event at the Special Olympics North America Bowling Competition in Las Vegas.

WHAT: The House Human Services Committee, chaired by Rep. Gene DiGirolamo (R-Bucks), will hold a public hearing on House Bills 424 and 596, sponsored by Rep. Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon). The bills would create a bed registry and a warm hand-off for addiction treatment. The Blue Guardian program from Lehigh County, which was the inspiration for the warm hand-off legislation, will make a presentation.

LEHIGHTON – Rep. Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon) today announced that he is relocating his district office in Lehighton to 204B Bridge St. in Weissport. The new office will open for business on Monday, Feb. 4, at 9 a.m. The final day of operation for the Lehighton office was Monday, Jan. 28.
