Veterans Assistance Offered at Heffley’s Office
July 17, 2018
LEHIGHTON – Rep. Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon) reminds residents that an outreach specialist from the American Legion will be at his Lehighton district office, located at 110 North Third St., Second Floor, on Thursday, July 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to assist veterans and their families.
“Our veterans gave a lot in defense of our nation and this initiative helps them connect with benefits they’ve earned,” Heffley said. “I encourage veterans and their families to call my office to make an appointment to meet with this specialist.
Area veterans can receive assistance from a trained specialist for information pertaining to specific benefits and programs. Veterans do not need to be a member of the American Legion to take advantage of these services.
Some of the services available to veterans and their dependents include assistance with compensation, pension claims, death benefits, education and health care, as well as any issues pertaining to veterans’ benefits.
Appointments must be made in advance by calling Heffley’s office at (610) 377-6363.
