Now in his sixth term as a state lawmaker, Doyle Heffley was again elected to serve the people of the 122nd Legislative District in Carbon County based on his priorities of creating a business-friendly environment, reducing taxes, achieving greater fiscal responsibility and government transparency and restoring government trust.

During the 2021-22 Legislative Session, Doyle is serving as a member of the Appropriations, Human Services, Tourism and Recreational Development, and Transportation committees.

In addition to his committee work, Heffley looks to continue leading the way on efforts to curb Pennsylvania’s opioid and heroin abuse crisis. Heffley is a member of several House caucuses, including the Property Tax Caucus, and will continue to fight to eliminate the burden of property taxes for all Pennsylvanians.

Doyle was also appointed to the Ben Franklin Technology Development Authority, which aims to provide funding for early-stage Pennsylvania technology companies. In addition, he has been named a “Guardian of Small Business” by the National Federation of Independent Business in multiple years.

As a 1989 graduate of Lehighton Area High School, Doyle later went on to Lincoln Technical Institute where he received his associate’s degree in architectural drafting and design. Since 1996, he has worked in the trucking industry where his work ethic and dedication propelled him to a management position overseeing more than 100 employees.

Prior to his election to the state House, he served as an industry consultant, using his knowledge and experience to help companies operate more efficiently.

In addition to attending Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Trachsville, Doyle is also an active member of the community. He is a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post No. 314 and the Indian Mt. Rod and Gun Club.

He is a former member of the Lower Towamensing Planning Commission and has served as both committeeman and chairman of the Carbon County Republican Committee.

As an Eagle Scout, he has been instilled with a deep sense of patriotism for state and country. He is an outdoorsman and a strong supporter of Second Amendment rights.

Doyle resides in Palmerton with his wife, Kellie, and their two daughters, Elizabeth and Angela.
