Heffley Highlights Nutrition During ‘Eat Real Food’ Tour

January 22, 2026

HARRISBURG – Rep. Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon) issued the following statement after U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert Kennedy Jr. visited the Pennsylvania Capitol to kick off the “Eat Real Food” tour.

“It was an honor to stand with Secretary Kennedy in promoting healthier eating habits and raising awareness about the importance of eating real, nutritious food for families across Pennsylvania.

“The secretary talked about the issues of rising obesity rates and other health problems related to poor nutrition and how to make us healthy again.

“As Republican chair of the Health and Human Services Committee, I’ve taken steps to ensure that we are tackling the waste, fraud and abuse in human services while also advancing policies that improve access to nutritious food and strengthen Pennsylvania families.

“As a father, and now a grandfather, I see firsthand how important it is to make healthy eating a priority for future generations.

“I want to make sure healthy foods are available to everyone.”
