Heffley to Host Scam Prevention Seminar in Jim Thorpe on Wednesday

WEISSPORT – Rep. Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon) is inviting Carbon County residents to a scam seminar his office is hosting on Wednesday, Sept. 16. The seminar will start at 7 p.m. at Jim Thorpe Memorial Hall, 115 E. 10th St., Jim Thorpe.

“It’s unfortunate that scams remain as common as they are,” Heffley said. “I want residents to have the information they need to recognize warning signs and protect themselves.”

David P. Shallcross, director of senior protection with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, will make a presentation at the scam seminar.

All are welcome to attend. Registration isn’t required, but it is preferred. To register, please contact Heffley’s office at 610-377-6363.
