Heffley Honored by Being Named Legislative Fellow by East Stroudsburg University

WEISSPORT – Rep. Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon) was recently named the 2026-27 Legislative Fellow by East Stroudsburg University (ESU). Heffley received the honor during a breakfast held at the university.

“I’m grateful to ESU President Kenneth Long and the entire ESU community for this honor,” Heffley said.

The Legislative Fellow program, established in 1999, is designed to bring state legislators to ESU’s campus to participate in a variety of campus activities and to meet formally and informally with students, faculty and staff throughout the year.

“This opportunity means a great deal to me,” Heffley said. “I look forward to meeting with ESU students, faculty and staff, sharing my experiences and hearing students’ ideas about Pennsylvania’s future.”

Heffley is the first House representative from Carbon County to be named a legislative fellow by East Stroudsburg University.

Fellows are selected by a committee of faculty and administrators, and jointly appointed by the university president and the president of the Association of Pennsylvania State College and University Faculties (APSCUF).
