HARRISBURG – State funding has been awarded to Jim Thorpe Borough for developing an improvement plan for its municipal park, according to Rep. Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon), who played a key role in securing the grant through the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR).

HARRISBURG – A Carbon County volunteer fire department will benefit from a state program that funds equipment purchases and training to battle wildfires, according to Rep. Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon). Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 in Lehighton was awarded a $10,000 grant through the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
