Heffley Votes to Advance State Budget

HARRISBURG – Rep. Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon) issued the following statement after the House voted to send a $32 billion budget to Gov. Tom Wolf’s desk. The 2017-18 budget, also passed by the Senate on Friday, represents a 0.2 increase over last year’s budget.

As summer kicks off, many Pennsylvania families are making plans to visit one of our state’s beautiful parks. Thousands of acres are managed by the Commonwealth for the enjoyment of all residents. However, numerous parks across the Commonwealth, like Beltzville State Park in Carbon County, are struggling to keep up with increased financial demands that come with heightened attendance.
