Heffley Votes to Override Wolf’s Veto of School Sports Control Bill

HARRISBURG – Rep. Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon) today voted to override Gov. Tom Wolf’s veto of House Bill 2787, legislation that would ensure decisions about school sports and activities, including policies regarding spectators, are made at the local level. However, the override attempt did not garner the required two-thirds majority for passage. Heffley is a co-sponsor of the legislation.

Heffley Reacts to PA Supreme Court Ruling on Election-Related Lawsuit

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Supreme Court today sided with the Wolf administration and the Pennsylvania Democratic Party in allowing for ballots to be counted that are received up to three days after the election day deadline as long as they are postmarked on Nov. 3. The court’s decision also allows for the use of secure drop boxes for ballots.
